Do I need notarisation?
Not all documents require it, but it is often necessary for legal and government use.
How long does notarisation add to the process?
On average, allow 7–10 days for scheduling and notarisation. Including translation and delivery, we recommend 2 weeks for clients in Japan. For overseas delivery, timelines vary and should be discussed case by case.
Can you notarise medical documents?
Yes, we handle both medical and non-medical notarised translations.
Do you provide apostille?
Apostille services are available through official government channels.
Do you retain my documents?
No. We follow strict data protection rules. Uploaded files are securely deleted after processing.
What is a Certificate of Translation?
A Certificate of Translation (翻訳証明書 / Honyaku-shoumeisho) is a short written statement the translator signs to confirm the translation is accurate and complete. It must be submitted with the translation for the notary to certify the signature. The fee covers preparation and formatting: ¥2,500 for English or ¥4,000 for non-English documents.
